The message of Romans shows us how God sees creation and humanity: all men are under his righteous eye, the Jew, the hedonist and the stoic alike. Though not all of humanity has had access to God's written Word, His law remains imprinted upon the hearts of man, burned into the collective conscious of humanity. However, Romans chapter two demonstrates that our status in God's kingdom is not determined by a sliding scale of good or bad, where we are pitted against the moral compasses of our neighbors, but in accepting God's truth as the only truth: that despite the evil wickedness of man to revile and reject their God, he has provided a means by which he can and will rightly judge or justify humanity. Jesus is that means.
